Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all doing great, it's Friday and I honestly cannot wait to leave the office to start my weekend!
Today I wanted to bring you a review of my experimentation with a drinks product called Teisseire (rhymes with flair). To give a bit of background, Teisseire is an extremely popular brand in France known for their range of sirops. In 2015 they started to take their delicious flavours worldwide and now people everywhere are being inspired to discover and experiment with their innovative flavours and recipies.
I am now one of those people.
First I am going to be talking about Le Sirop, I have been trying out the Framboise* and Grenadine* flavours and here are my first impressions.
The Framboise variety is raspberry flavoured with a dash of lemon and elderberry, mixed with chilled water it is just an incredibly tasty, sweet and refreshing drink. The lemon adds a little bit of citrusy sharpness to the overall taste which I like and I think works really well.
Below I have included two recipe ideas for the framboise flavour that sound absolutely delicious.
Framboise Cooler
150ml Mineral Water
15ml Teisseire Raspberry
5ml Lemon Juice
Crushed Raspberries
Using a highball glass, add Teisseire Raspberry, lemon juice and mineral water. Crush raspberries with spoon, add to glass and top with ice.
Framboise Fizz
50ml Gin
100ml Tonic
15ML Teisseire Raspberry
5ML Lemon Juice
Fresh Raspberries
Skewer raspberries with toothpick and set aside. Add gin, Teisseire Raspberry, lemon juice and tonic to rock glass. Top with ice and garnish with skewered raspberries.
Next we move on to the Grenadine variety which has flavours from raspberry, elderberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant and lemon. I tried it with lemonade instead of water to make a Diabolo Grenadine which was fabulously fruity and refreshing, highly recommended!
I have included a couple more recipe suggestions below to try out.
Grenadine Sparkle
40ml Grape Juice
40ml Cranberry Juice
80ml Sparkling Water
Crushed Ice
Monaco
150ml Beer or Lager
100ml 7up
Pour the sirop, ice cold beer and lemonade into a chilled glass, stir and serve.
Now let's talk about the Gourmet Drops*. My favourite of the selection, I must admit due to my love of hot chocolates which these are amazing with.
I have been adding dashes of vanilla and caramel in my hot chocolate for the past few weeks and I have to say that they completely transform the drink and taste SO good.
Below are some recipe suggestions that I am really excited to try out in addition to my own creations I've been mixing!
Vanilla Macchiatio
Double Espresso
15ML Teisseire Vanilla
70ML Steamed Milk
Steam milk with Teisseire Vanilla, ensuring you get a good amount of froth at the top. Prepare a double espresso and top with the vanilla froth (but don’t add the milk).
Iced Caramel Espresso
2 Espressos
Ice Cubes
Make the blender do all the work. Whizz everything super-fast then serve in a chilled glass.
Add more drops for more caramel flavour.
I hope you liked this post, it's a bit different to my usual style with the added recipe ideas and I really enjoyed trying out the drinks so let me know if you want to see more content like this! I would be more than happy to oblige.
If you are interested in trying out Teisseire drinks head on over to their website http://www.teisseire.com/en-gb/uk/ or alternatively you can find their products stocked in Waitrose, Ocado, Asda and Morrisons.
