Clarks Hamble Oak Unboxing and Review

Hey Guys!

Today I am bringing you an unboxing and review of these gorgeous Hamble Oak Brogues* from Clarks. I have been looking for a few months now for the perfect oxblood coloured shoes available in my size but a lot of shops don't run up to a women's 9, especially not wide fit. I would recommend anyone struggling for this size to consider giving Clarks a go, the prices are quite reasonable, quality is excellent and the styles are pretty trendy if I do say so myself.

So, on to the unboxing!

The shoes come in a deluxe black box  and wrapped in tissue paper.

The size, fitting and style is printed on the front with a little picture of the shoe, so if you're stacking the boxes you can see what's inside.

The shoes themselves have cardboard inserts to maintain the shape and you get a set of alternative leather laces which you can swap out with the ribbon ones depending on your preference.

The colour is the most beautiful ox blood shade in a shiny leather

with multicoloured Linton tweed accents

and gorgeous punched detailing on the toes.

and a small heel to top them off.

I would say that the Hamble Oaks are really nice and cushioned to walk in and super comfortable, the wide fit also gives me the perfect amount of room without that pinched feel at the sides. I think the quality of the leather is excellent and the style is just so pretty, the pictures on the website really don't do them justice.

I have been wearing them with black opaque tights and skater dresses for work and have got so many compliments.

As you can see I really liked these shoes and would definitely recommend trying them on for size in your local store or online where they have a easy returns policy. If you want to check them out online then head over here for the selection of brogues http://www.clarks.co.uk/c/womens-shoes/brogues.

I hope you enjoyed this unboxing/review, let me know if you want to see more of these on the blog by leaving me a comment below.

NineX Lingerie Review

Hey Guys,

Hope you're all well.

The weather today is pretty wet so I'm holed up inside but it's the perfect opportunity to do some blogging! I have a nice warm mug of hot chocolate, a bit of Buble in the background and fluffy socks on, so I'm ready to go!

Today I am going to share with you a long overdue review of a gorgeous item I received from NineX Lingerie, the Isla Hot Pink Satin and Lace Babydoll*. I'm a big fan of babydolls as they have the extra coverage over the tummy which makes me feel alot more confident but it doesn't attract from the overall sexiness and glamour you want to achieve.

First of all the colour is so pretty, it's a lovely hot pink which looks great on and the black lace accent goes well with my dark hair. The babydoll is also available in silver, red, purple, black and blue so there is plenty to choose from if you're not a pink lover like me!

The straps are elasticated and totally comfortable to wear and are adjustable the same way a bra strap can tighten or loosen. There is also nice ruching under the bust and the hem has a wavy effect at the bottom which adds another cute touch.

The length is pretty good, it just skims the tops of your legs so provides just the right amount of coverage without being more of a nightdress. The sizing I would also say is about spot on, but bear in mind that satin doesn't have much stretch to it so I would say possibly consider sizing up if you want a more floaty look.

Overall I am pleased with the babydoll, I think it's cute and something I would totally wear. It's only £14.49 which is a total bargain and the whole range is really nice and well priced considering the quality is good and the range of designs is expansive. The sizing is perfect for plus size ladies too, from what I can see they cater up to a size 30 and for the more stretchy items I think possibly larger sizes could give them a try.

You can check out the full range over on http://www.ninexlingerie.com/, there are some really nice bits in the new arrivals so I'd check them out too.

Have you guys ever shopped at NineX Lingerie? Where do you usually get your babydolls and chemises from? Let me know below!

As always, thanks for reading and I'll speak to you again soon! Love Sally X

A Highland Fling

Hey Everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend.

Today I am back with another outfit of the day, it's a mix of two of my favourite trends this autumn/winter being the military khaki shirt dress and the ever popular tartan scarf. These aren't two trends I would typically put together but I think it works really well and the scarf worn as an accent to the dress makes it nice and snug.

Scarf: Primark
Black Vest Top: Primark
Leggings: TU at Sainsburys
Boots: Primark
Clutch: Primark

I have to say I love how my hair looks at the moment, it's got crazily long and I've been using all the fancy hair products I've been reviewing so it's in better condition than normal. I kept my makeup all very natural apart from a little kohl eyeliner just to grunge up the look a little bit.

In terms of the sizing on the dress, while it's oversized I would definitely say to size up as there is no stretch and the fabric can be a little unforgiving, however in the right size it looks great and I love the tied waist detail to bring you in. There is also a collar which you can add metal tips to or accessorise with a nice necklace, the rolled up sleeves also look really cool and casual.

What do you guys think of my outfit? What trends are you seeing everywhere at the moment? Let me know in the comments below.

Floric Gold Frankincense & Myrrh Bouquet Review

Hey Guys!

Today I am bringing you a completely different type of floral to what you usually see on here! You've seen how much I love floral prints and needless to say I have the same affection for the real thing so I thought I'd share with you a gorgeous bouquet that I was sent from Floric to review.

Firstly I have to say that it was incredibly difficult to pick which bouquet I wanted, their Christmas selection is literally stunning and I love all the festive colours. The whole shopping process just made me really excited about Christmas in general as this is the first "decoration" in my house and has set the ball running especially now we have decided on a colour theme for the tree.

After much deliberation I went for the Gold Frankincense and Myrrh Bouquet* which is a mix of white roses and gold gypsophila and comes with a little voile bag you place on the radiator to release a frankincense and myrrh sent into the room. Perfect right?

Now I'm sure you're waiting for the pictures, wait no more!

Here is the box the bouquet arrived in, a pretty purple and it kept the flowers perfectly intact.

The bouquet comes wrapped in this luxe gold packaging tied with a ribbon

and comes with a gift card with the option of a personalised message and the little bag of frankincense & myrrh to put on the radiator.

The flowers are absolutely lovely and I think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves in that sense. The white and gold will look just perfect in my cream living room in a nice ornate vase.

I am really thrilled with my flowers, they look amazing and the scent is beautiful. This bouquet retails at £39.99 including free mainland weekday delivery which I think is great value for money and there is the option to choose the delivery date. You can check out the full range they offer here: http://www.floric.co.uk/ and Christmas selection here: http://www.floric.co.uk/product-categories/9/christmas-flowers/ .

I also have another treat to share, Floric are running a competition for children to win a christmas tree for their family. All they need to do to enter is draw a picture of a decorated christmas tree, the more creative the better! You will then need to post the picture either to Floric’s Facebook & Like the page (https://www.facebook.com/floricuk) or their Twitter and follow (@floricuk) and use the Hashtag on both which is #GiftsOfGold. The competition closes on December 15th and more info can be found: http://www.floric.co.uk/content/61/christmas-tree-competition

I hope you enjoyed this post, I have lot's of festive themed goodies coming up that I can't wait to share with you.

#24hr Shoes ft Evans

Hey Everyone!

Today is a special post featuring not only one but TWO outfits, in collaboration with the Evans #24hrs Shoes campaign. I was kindly sent a pair of Black Elastic Panel Chelsea Boots and was challenged to show how they can be worn both day and night, let's see how I fared.

First up is my day look. I have styled my hair in a half up, half down do and done a pretty makeup look using pink and purple tones. I love the feather print on the dress which perfectly goes with the colour of the leaves outside. The dress is a light weight chiffon brought in with a belt and it has pleating detail to the neckline and a double frill hemline perfect for swooshing around.

Cardigan: Gok Wan for TU
Necklace: Evans, currently sold out*.

Next up is my evening look. I have opted to wear my hair down with a cute embellished hairband and I have switched my makeup to more golden and black tones on the eyes and a bit of bronze to the cheeks with a nude lip. The dress is a stunner, it's beautifully cut and just so flattering with a chic print to top it off. My favourite details are the sleeves which have a lovely wrap over design that I haven't seen before on a dress.

Cardigan: Primark
Clutch Bag and Bracelets: Tk Maxx

I hope you guys like both of the looks, comment below with which one you like best (just for fun).

I just want to say a huge thank you to Evans for letting me take part, I've had so much fun putting this post together and I think I've really proved that the gorgeous boots look amazing for the full 24 hours. Let me know if you want me to do any more posts like this where I take one item and transition it from day to night, I love seeing other bloggers do that kind of thing.

Until next time, thanks for reading!
