Make Me Blush, Look Beauty

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on 3 blushers that I picked up a while ago on a 3 for 2 deal (£5 normal price) on www.lookbeauty.co.uk. The shades I picked up are Rosy, Flush and Pinch which are subtle pinky peachy shades, however do note they contain shimmer. I personally don't mind shimmer/glitter but as you will see in the swatches it is quite noticeable and might not be for everyone.

Now for some swatches!

The colour pigmentation is very good with a light single swatch and is very creamy and easy to blend. Upon application the colour is quite heavy but can be blended out to as sheerer coverage as you like.

I would definitely repurchase these in the future and am interested in the other 2 shades in the range. Have you tried any of these blushes? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading. Love Sally x

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect in Onyx Smoke

Hi Everyone!

Today I am going to do a quick review of the Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect crayon I picked up from Boots for £6.99. I got the colour onyx smoke which is a creamy glittery black and frosty white, but there are 5 other colour variations I know of with each duo complimenting each other perfectly.

Here are the swatches!

I am really impressed with the colour payoff and the creamy texture which blends easily but once in place doesn't move around. The product could work well as eyeshadow bases for loose eyeshadow or on it's own is just as nice. I will be looking more closely at the other colours below and while Maxfactor is on 3 for 2 may pick up some more. The two on the far right look particularly interesting (swatch dependent).

Thanks for reading!

My new fave £1 blusher!!

Hi All,

I am really excited to talk to you about a little project I have been doing for the past couple of weeks which involves me testing £1 makeup items in the hope of finding some gems and I think I have managed just that.

Let me introduce you to the Chit Chat Powder Blusher from Poundland. I got two different shades as shown below:

Desert Flower- A pastel peach with pink tones

Blossom Pink- A baby pink with slight yellow tones

As these were from Poundland I was unable to swatch or test the products first so I essentially bought these blind and from the cheap looking packaging I didn't initially have very high hopes for the quality. However, once I got home I swatched these and was suitably impressed.

Top- Desert Flower Bottom- Blossom Pink

Left- Desert Flower Right-Blossom Pink

The consistency of the products are very smooth and almost creamy with extremely high pigmentation from a single light swatch. The colours are very pretty, easily wearable and blendable to a more sheer look if needed. I will definitely be using these blushers and will be keeping an eye out for other shades to see if they match up to the standard of the ones I have tested.

I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know in the comments if you would like to read more £1 makeup reviews. Love Sally X
