Accessorize Eyeshadow Review

Hi Everyone!
Today I will be doing a quick review and swatches of a set of three Accessorize eyeshadows I got around Xmas time from Superdrug (£5ish for the set).

The eyeshadows are a marbled effect baked consistency and very highly pigmented and creamy to the touch.  The colours are stunning and metallic with lot's of sparkle but with minimum fallout and good lasting power over a good eyeshadow base such as Fyrinnae pixie epoxy or Too Faced shadow insurance.

Here are some pics/swatches:

Cosmic Rays

Molten Copper

Golden Caramel

I would say my favourite shade is golden caramel, which if blended well could even work really nice as a cheekbone highlighter. I am really impressed by the pigmentation of the eyeshadows and will definitely look into some of the other shades in the current range.

I hope you enjoyed reading about these products and let me know your thoughts or if you have any recommendations. Love Sally x

Look Beauty Haul

Hi everyone! Today will be a quick overview and swatches of items I got in a recent sale instore at Superdrug on Look Beauty.

The first product is the Double Hit Lip in Rose Riot (£4), named that because one end is a lipstick and the other end the matching lipgloss. The colour payoff of the lipstick is very good and the colour is very pretty, the lipgloss is slightly more sheer but when layered over the lipstick looks really nice.

Next are the Loud Lips lipsticks in Toffee Cup and Berry Vamp (£3.50 each). I already have 2 lipsticks from this range in Baby Doll and Tangerine Dream which I love so I had an indication of the quality before getting these. The colours are pretty and totally different from each other, Toffee Cup is a subtle nude while Berry Vamp is a purple winterberry colour which looks fab with my dark hair and pale skin.

Then there are the 3 Long Last Liners in Rock Chic Black, Royal Navy and Disco Glitter (£2 each). These swatch great with a nice consitency that doesn't rub off too easily but can be smudged with the sponge on the end for a grungey look. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of sparkle in Disco Glitter and you can't tell the difference between the two blacks when swatched, however it's still a good black eyeliner so hardly money wasted.

Lastly we have the Triple Hit Eyeshadows in Sexy Smoke and LA Luxe (£3.75 each). They are baked metallic eyeshadows with a very creamy pigmented formula. All 6 colours are very wearable and perfect for smokey eye looks

Sexy Smoke

To sum up I am really happy with the products I got and the discounts certainly made the products even better value for money!

Nars Night Series Palette

Hi Everyone! Today I want to review my favourite Nars palette, the Night series palette.

It is a limited edition eyeshadow palette that included six of the Night series eyeshadows: Night Star (peach shadow with pearls), Night Clubbing (black with brown/ bronze pearls), Night Porter (black with green pearls), Night Rider (soft plum with glitter), Night Flight (black with navy pearls), and Night Breed (black with silver glitter).

Swatched once dry:

The pigmentation is of the standard I have come to expect from Nars which is absolutely brilliant and the colours are great for nights out and dramatic looks. My favourite shade is Night Flight which is a gorgeous sparkly navy and looks great with a smoky eye look. The palette cost me £20 off Ebay which is cheaper than the RRP and  the palette is no longer available via Nars as it was ltd edition.

Thanks for reading. Love Sally x

My weekend in Bournemouth

Hi everyone!

So last weekend I stayed for one night in Meyrick Park in Bournemouth which is a golf/country club complex with pool/spa facilities. I got a last minute deal of £35 for Saturday night for a twin room so I went along with my sister.

This is the outside of "The Lodge" which houses 17 rooms.

We stayed in the lovely room 3 which was pretty big and had all the basics. Excuse the shopping! (Haul to follow)

There was a nifty footpath running alongside The Lodge which took you down to the towncentre in around 5 minutes!

The towncentre itself was actually better than I had expected and had all the good shops ie: primark, superdrug, boots, tkmaxx etc without being too overwhelming.

We had dinner in a great Chinese all you can eat buffet which was across 3 floors and there was so much choice it was insane. My tip would be to make sure you save room for dessert as they are pretty epic, I had a waffle with icecream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Then on Sunday we had a nice wander along the beach and around some gardens before the drive home.

Hope you all don't mind the odd travel post and thanks for reading! Love Sally x
