Round My Hometown, Memories Are Fresh

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I met up for some lunch with the lovely Apple Charlotte in my hometown of Potters Bar. We went to the local park to get some pictures and then had a nice lunch at Harvester which we ended up getting refunded due to issues with all of the card machines, result!

Here are the pics from our adventure:

 I am wearing:

Tshirt: Primark
Tights: Asos Curve
Shoes: New Look
Scarf: Vida Moda

I love the two different floral parts of the dress which give it a quirky twist, the fabric is really nice too but doesn't have any stretch in it so you might have to size up.

I love this scarf so much, the colours are beautiful and it's so lovely and soft!

When we came out from Harvester, darkness was quickly upon us so I got some more spookier looking pictures!

How cute does Charlotte look?!

I hope you like this little park themed lookbook, let me know in the comments if you want to see more of these posts as it was so much fun to do.

Thanks for reading! Love Sally X

British Plus Size Fashion Weekend

Hey Everyone!

So as promised, this is part 2 after my outfit post and I'm finally going to tell you all about the event itself!

As you all know, I was invited by Curvissa to attend the event alongside the lovely Lucie and it was such a good opportunity to meet some fellow bloggers and see some great clothes. I had to do it!

Once I got there, in terms of the set up, there was a beauty room with teeth whitening and manicures etc, a marketplace full of clothes from new collections to look through (a couple of brands were selling too) and then the main hall which housed the catwalk and a bar/seating. The venue was actually really nice, I've never been to Vinopolis before so didn't really know what to expect but it was huge!

Once we got there we made a beeline for the marketplace where I got to introduce myself in person to some of the teams I have been speaking to over emails which was really nice. There was such a range of clothing and accessories to sift through and I have taken away so much inspiration for SS14. My favourite stall was MS SVG which has some incredible prints on pieces that you could buy on the day, I bought some gorgeous Junarose tropical print trousers and 2 Carmakoma skirts (one is leather!!) all at a great price. The girls on the stall were absolutely lovely too :). Outfit posts to come!

We then attended the 2 pm show, I think it went on longer than planned but there were some fantastic pieces on the runway. The standout moments for me were Evans opening with The Cut Collection:

And Syreeta Badhu bringing out THIS DRESS which I freaking love :

And here are some pics just because!

Felicity looking gorgeous!

Then there was a brief panel discussion

Then I bumped into Deb for a quick photo of course

And last but not least had to get one of me and my partner in crime before the night ended

I had a fabulous time and I think the event is such a positive step in the right direction for plus size women in fashion. Big thanks to Curvissa for inviting me, it was honestly one of the best days I've had that's been blog related.

So who's going next year then?!?!?

Anna Scholz/Simplybe Event

Hey Guys!

Before anyone says it, even I'm surprised by how regularly I've been posting as of late but hopefully this is the new routine and we are going to have multiple posts per week going forwards!

So last week I attended an evening event to see the new Anna Scholz for Simply Be collection for SS14, I got to join some of my favourite bloggers in Anna's studio and had a good old rifle through the rails to get you some pictures of my favourite pieces.

The colours and prints are just amazing!

And I finally got to see the underwear range I posted about in person, it was gorgeous!

The below green floral dress is absolutely stunning and got a lot of attention from the bloggers and I believe this is the one Michaela wore to BPSFW.

There was also a selection of Anna's own label collection to try on, the fabrics were amazing

The lovely George and Lauren

Various blogger babes including Nancy and Hollie in the background. The whole place was packed!

A big thumbs up from Cass!

Me and Debs looking like siamese twins joined at the shoulder!

I love this shirt, an absolute bargain from the SimplyBe range and the quality is really good

The lovely Gemma and Hollie in gorgeous azetc print.

Rosie looking ADORABLE in an Anna Scholz embroidered bomber jacket

Me and the lovely Hollie

Me and Charlotte before our journey home, turns out we live just up the road! Amazing!

The evening was really nice, I got to see some amazing clothes, try some bits on and know exactly what I'll be hitting up on the website. It was so exciting to meet all of my favourite bloggers and the atmosphere was just really fun and cool.

Thanks so much to Simplybe for inviting me and thanks to you guys for reading!

I have loads more pics so add me on facebook to view all the albums if you're curious.

What I wore for BPSFW

Hey Guys,

Now this post is going to be a 2 parter, today I want to show you what I wore for British Plus Size Fashion Weekend and tomorrow I will give the write up and pictures from the event itself.

For anyone that hasn't been reading my Twitter, I was kindly invited to attend the event with VIP access by the lovely team over at Curvissa and I have literally never been so excited about an event in my life. Let's just say the day did not disappoint and it was the most incredible experience for reasons I will go into in the second part of this post!!

So here is my OOTD if you will:

Dress*: Curvissa
Black Tee: Primarni
Tights: Asos Curve
Belt: George At Asda
Shoes- New Look

I absolutely love this dress that I was sent to wear for the event, it has just the right amount of stretch so was completely comfortable and the length is really flattering on my troublesome pins.

What do you guys think? Do you like my outfit?

Stay tuned for part 2 and thanks for reading!
