NineX Lingerie Review

Hey Guys,

Hope you're all well.

The weather today is pretty wet so I'm holed up inside but it's the perfect opportunity to do some blogging! I have a nice warm mug of hot chocolate, a bit of Buble in the background and fluffy socks on, so I'm ready to go!

Today I am going to share with you a long overdue review of a gorgeous item I received from NineX Lingerie, the Isla Hot Pink Satin and Lace Babydoll*. I'm a big fan of babydolls as they have the extra coverage over the tummy which makes me feel alot more confident but it doesn't attract from the overall sexiness and glamour you want to achieve.

First of all the colour is so pretty, it's a lovely hot pink which looks great on and the black lace accent goes well with my dark hair. The babydoll is also available in silver, red, purple, black and blue so there is plenty to choose from if you're not a pink lover like me!

The straps are elasticated and totally comfortable to wear and are adjustable the same way a bra strap can tighten or loosen. There is also nice ruching under the bust and the hem has a wavy effect at the bottom which adds another cute touch.

The length is pretty good, it just skims the tops of your legs so provides just the right amount of coverage without being more of a nightdress. The sizing I would also say is about spot on, but bear in mind that satin doesn't have much stretch to it so I would say possibly consider sizing up if you want a more floaty look.

Overall I am pleased with the babydoll, I think it's cute and something I would totally wear. It's only £14.49 which is a total bargain and the whole range is really nice and well priced considering the quality is good and the range of designs is expansive. The sizing is perfect for plus size ladies too, from what I can see they cater up to a size 30 and for the more stretchy items I think possibly larger sizes could give them a try.

You can check out the full range over on http://www.ninexlingerie.com/, there are some really nice bits in the new arrivals so I'd check them out too.

Have you guys ever shopped at NineX Lingerie? Where do you usually get your babydolls and chemises from? Let me know below!

As always, thanks for reading and I'll speak to you again soon! Love Sally X

A Highland Fling

Hey Everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend.

Today I am back with another outfit of the day, it's a mix of two of my favourite trends this autumn/winter being the military khaki shirt dress and the ever popular tartan scarf. These aren't two trends I would typically put together but I think it works really well and the scarf worn as an accent to the dress makes it nice and snug.

Scarf: Primark
Black Vest Top: Primark
Leggings: TU at Sainsburys
Boots: Primark
Clutch: Primark

I have to say I love how my hair looks at the moment, it's got crazily long and I've been using all the fancy hair products I've been reviewing so it's in better condition than normal. I kept my makeup all very natural apart from a little kohl eyeliner just to grunge up the look a little bit.

In terms of the sizing on the dress, while it's oversized I would definitely say to size up as there is no stretch and the fabric can be a little unforgiving, however in the right size it looks great and I love the tied waist detail to bring you in. There is also a collar which you can add metal tips to or accessorise with a nice necklace, the rolled up sleeves also look really cool and casual.

What do you guys think of my outfit? What trends are you seeing everywhere at the moment? Let me know in the comments below.

#24hr Shoes ft Evans

Hey Everyone!

Today is a special post featuring not only one but TWO outfits, in collaboration with the Evans #24hrs Shoes campaign. I was kindly sent a pair of Black Elastic Panel Chelsea Boots and was challenged to show how they can be worn both day and night, let's see how I fared.

First up is my day look. I have styled my hair in a half up, half down do and done a pretty makeup look using pink and purple tones. I love the feather print on the dress which perfectly goes with the colour of the leaves outside. The dress is a light weight chiffon brought in with a belt and it has pleating detail to the neckline and a double frill hemline perfect for swooshing around.

Cardigan: Gok Wan for TU
Necklace: Evans, currently sold out*.

Next up is my evening look. I have opted to wear my hair down with a cute embellished hairband and I have switched my makeup to more golden and black tones on the eyes and a bit of bronze to the cheeks with a nude lip. The dress is a stunner, it's beautifully cut and just so flattering with a chic print to top it off. My favourite details are the sleeves which have a lovely wrap over design that I haven't seen before on a dress.

Cardigan: Primark
Clutch Bag and Bracelets: Tk Maxx

I hope you guys like both of the looks, comment below with which one you like best (just for fun).

I just want to say a huge thank you to Evans for letting me take part, I've had so much fun putting this post together and I think I've really proved that the gorgeous boots look amazing for the full 24 hours. Let me know if you want me to do any more posts like this where I take one item and transition it from day to night, I love seeing other bloggers do that kind of thing.

Until next time, thanks for reading!

Ag-a-doo-doo-doo, Push Pineapple, Shake the Tree

Hey Everyone!

So the sun is shining, the lighting is perfect and I have a new dress to show you. The perfect combination for a blog post!

Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you will have seen that neon and brights in general is huge on the high street this summer. Well the lovely folk at New Look kindly sent me a couple of items to share with you all, so this is part 1 with part 2 to come later this week.

Today I am going to be raving about this Inspire Neon Pink Pineapple Bodycon Dress. As you know bodycon is something I don't wear a lot of and have been known to shy away from, but I thought with such an eye catching fun print and lovely neon pink I could pull it off! (Here's where you comment below "oh yeah you totally do").

I ordered one size up, so you can see it's not completely skin tight on me, which I feel much more comfortable in. I also paired it with a plain black cardigan to give me some coverage on my arms and leggings the dress is completely opaque though so I could wear it with tights if I wanted a more party look.

By the way these pictures were taken on a little adventure I had while walking alongside the railway in Potters Bar, I discovered an entrance to a park I wasn't aware of despite living there for years!!

I think this might be some sort of mini golf thing? I couldn't work out what the little wooden posts were for! Maybe one of you can advise?!

I ended up having quite a fun afternoon, shortly after these pictures I carried on walking straight out to an icecream van for a screwball and I saw some friends in the evening and got lots of compliments on my dress.

I hope you liked this post and let me know your thoughts below as always.

My Little Pony Fanclub 1983

Hey Everyone!

Today I am flashing back to some early childhood memories and my obsession with My Little Pony!

I saw this tshirt in Primark and it just reminded me of growing up and watching MLP on tv and having a huge collection of all the little figures and combing their manes as if it was the most fun thing in the world! My bedroom used to resemble something like this, no joke:

I've always been a collector of one thing or another, even now I have a make up collection of limited edition bits and bobs that are so pretty I would rather look at them than use them!

The top is cropped so I have worn it over an Asos Curve mint dress and paired it with my Simply Be pink jacket for a nice pastel look. I've even dug out my baby pink Barry M lipstick that I used to wear religiously circa 2012.

The sleeves are ok on the top, they are about half way between cap sleeves and quarter sleeves but I much prefer wearing it under a jacket or cardigan.

I have accessorized the outfit with a couple of friends, how awesome would they look made into a bag?!

I also have my new favourite rose gold pumps from Dorothy Perkins on, I picked these up in a charity shop for £4 and have been wearing them all the time! I can't recommend charity shops enough for hidden bargains and I like that you can't predict what you'll pick up, it adds to the fun!

What do you think? Do you like tshirts of old school tv programmes for a trip down memory lane? Let me know below!

Build Me Up Buttercup

Hey Everyone!

Now I've been teasing you with pictures of this print jersey jumpsuit ever since I got it, but it's finally here!

I knew from the minute I saw it on the Simply Be website it had to be mine, it's jersey so really comfortable and it's floral, as you know I bloody love florals!

I've paired it with an Asos blazer which has scallop detail at the bottom and just a generic pair of New Look pumps. I don't really rate the pumps as they wear out ridiculously quick but they are quite convenient to just throw on for pictures and only cost a grand total of £7.99.

I love how Simply Be are on form lately with clothes, I have bought far more stuff there in the past couple of months than I have at ASOS which is pretty unprecedented for me! I have quite a few more outfit posts coming up featuring them so keep an eye out for those.

The jumpsuit runs true to size, there is a bit of stretch in it as well which is always good as the waistband is elasticated and the material is a soft jersey. The legs are also a nice skinny fit, I hate it when jumpsuits get the leg shapes wrong to the point they look like flares.

The sleeves also offer a bit of coverage meaning I can wear the jumpsuit on its own in summer without baking in a cardigan. A huge plus for me! It even has pockets, perfect for stashing your phone and a credit card in if your just popping out.

I am really pleased with how the photos have come out, I spotted the buttercups in our local park when I was just driving and I knew it would be perfect for this outfit!

The buttercups really compliment the yellow florals on the jumpsuit, I would like to get a nice yellow envelope clutch bag to go with it and wear with black heels for a casual evening look.

What do you guys think? Let me know below in the comments!
