NineX Lingerie Review

Hey Guys,

Hope you're all well.

The weather today is pretty wet so I'm holed up inside but it's the perfect opportunity to do some blogging! I have a nice warm mug of hot chocolate, a bit of Buble in the background and fluffy socks on, so I'm ready to go!

Today I am going to share with you a long overdue review of a gorgeous item I received from NineX Lingerie, the Isla Hot Pink Satin and Lace Babydoll*. I'm a big fan of babydolls as they have the extra coverage over the tummy which makes me feel alot more confident but it doesn't attract from the overall sexiness and glamour you want to achieve.

First of all the colour is so pretty, it's a lovely hot pink which looks great on and the black lace accent goes well with my dark hair. The babydoll is also available in silver, red, purple, black and blue so there is plenty to choose from if you're not a pink lover like me!

The straps are elasticated and totally comfortable to wear and are adjustable the same way a bra strap can tighten or loosen. There is also nice ruching under the bust and the hem has a wavy effect at the bottom which adds another cute touch.

The length is pretty good, it just skims the tops of your legs so provides just the right amount of coverage without being more of a nightdress. The sizing I would also say is about spot on, but bear in mind that satin doesn't have much stretch to it so I would say possibly consider sizing up if you want a more floaty look.

Overall I am pleased with the babydoll, I think it's cute and something I would totally wear. It's only £14.49 which is a total bargain and the whole range is really nice and well priced considering the quality is good and the range of designs is expansive. The sizing is perfect for plus size ladies too, from what I can see they cater up to a size 30 and for the more stretchy items I think possibly larger sizes could give them a try.

You can check out the full range over on http://www.ninexlingerie.com/, there are some really nice bits in the new arrivals so I'd check them out too.

Have you guys ever shopped at NineX Lingerie? Where do you usually get your babydolls and chemises from? Let me know below!

As always, thanks for reading and I'll speak to you again soon! Love Sally X

Anna Scholz SS14 Lingerie Collection

Hey Everyone!

Today is going to be an overview of the exciting new lingerie collection by Anna Scholz exclusively for Simplybe. The sizing ranges from a 12-32 dress size, 34-46 inch back size and a B-G cup size,  making the collection completely accessible for most plus size ladies.

The collection description is as follows:

"Sizzle this summer with the new sensational lingerie collection from Anna Scholz. From bold printed bras to luxe lace basques your lingerie drawer will never look so good."

Now let's take a delve into the collection!

The range splits into 2 different sections, one is a gorgeous lime & charcoal satin and lace combo, the second a stunning pink and lime bold print. The full selection consists of two bras, a basque, a full slip and 3 briefs offering some of which are mix/match.

First is the Lace Balcony Bra which retails at £29.00. The base material is lime satin with black lace detailing to the cups and contrasting adjustable black straps.

Then we have the matching High Waist Briefs for £16.00 offering great coverage and looking very vintage/pinup with the ruching to the rear and a cheeky keyhole cutout detail. These aren't marketed as support knickers so will be more comfy with a lighter black mesh material to the back and sides.

I think together the two pieces create a really classy, sexy look and without flashing too much flesh in the tummy area as you are brought in nicely by the fuller coverage briefs. Lime isn't a colour I would typically wear, in fact I don't think I have anything green that springs to mind, but I think it looks really nice in the model picture and isn't too in your face with the black lace toning it down.

Next up is the lace basque/brief combo!

The Lace Basque retails at £42.00 and has the same lace green cups as the bra but the lace detail is in reverse and on the bottom of the cups. There is a lime/black lace accent panel down the front and the back and sides are the stretchy black mesh material secured by hook and eye fastenings to bring you in and offer a nice silhouette. There is also boning to the panels to give you some support and detachable suspender straps should you choose to style like the model image.

The basque is paired with these lovely Lace Briefs for £12 which have a lime satin panel to the front and the rest is comfy black mesh. These don't offer as much coverage as the high waist ones so I think they are definitely best paired with the basque as opposed to the bra but those more confident can absolutely do that and rock the look!

One thing I like about this collection is the authenticity of the images, I like that you can see some lumps and bumps which I'm not used to seeing in magazines for straight size collections. It makes it more relevant and just a more realistic representation of what the items look like when worn.

Now we have the second part of the collection, the bold prints and striking neon pink lace!

First is the Print Plunge Bra for £28.00, set on a white material base there is a leopard print effect with the fuschia and lime accents. The front comes down lower than the other bra so would be perfect for lower cut dresses or tops as you wont be able to to see the lacy pink trim.

Then there are the matching Print Control Briefs  for £14.00 offering light control and made of a super soft stretchy fabric in the same eye catching vivid colours.

I absolutely love how the set looks on the model and think I might just prefer it over the lime and black lace purely down to my love of pink!

Finally, we finish the collection with the stand out piece for me which is the Print Full Slip for £36.00. As you can see from above I love the colourful print and just think the slip is really pretty with a nice shape that covers you up but still remains a fun piece!

I think in the collection the pieces work really well and compliment each other and it just has a really fun colourful vibe to it. I am going to an event to showcase the collection next week so will be able to share some pictures taken in person and give a further write up so keep your eyes peeled for that!

What do you guys think, do you like the pieces? Also do you like posts like this which are new collection overviews? I really want to start doing more so would be good if I can get your thoughts!

Thanks for reading! Love Sally X
