Stop By And Smell The Flowers

Hey Guys!

Today I am going to share an outfit of the day, revisiting my ever growing love of floral prints. I feel like it's been a little while since we've done this, so I have a few more outfits planned for the next month to show you all. Woo!

This lovely dress is from Asos Curve but an old collection so unfortunately no longer available however keep your eyes peeled on Ebay because it's a beauty.

I love the flattering black panels which make your middle smaller like some sort of optical illusion. Very sneaky!

I'm also wearing one of my favourite hair bands I picked up at a car boot sale for a tiny one pound! Cute isn't it?

I hope you liked this outfit, let me know your thoughts below and I look forward to speaking to you in my next post.

Floric Gold Frankincense & Myrrh Bouquet Review

Hey Guys!

Today I am bringing you a completely different type of floral to what you usually see on here! You've seen how much I love floral prints and needless to say I have the same affection for the real thing so I thought I'd share with you a gorgeous bouquet that I was sent from Floric to review.

Firstly I have to say that it was incredibly difficult to pick which bouquet I wanted, their Christmas selection is literally stunning and I love all the festive colours. The whole shopping process just made me really excited about Christmas in general as this is the first "decoration" in my house and has set the ball running especially now we have decided on a colour theme for the tree.

After much deliberation I went for the Gold Frankincense and Myrrh Bouquet* which is a mix of white roses and gold gypsophila and comes with a little voile bag you place on the radiator to release a frankincense and myrrh sent into the room. Perfect right?

Now I'm sure you're waiting for the pictures, wait no more!

Here is the box the bouquet arrived in, a pretty purple and it kept the flowers perfectly intact.

The bouquet comes wrapped in this luxe gold packaging tied with a ribbon

and comes with a gift card with the option of a personalised message and the little bag of frankincense & myrrh to put on the radiator.

The flowers are absolutely lovely and I think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves in that sense. The white and gold will look just perfect in my cream living room in a nice ornate vase.

I am really thrilled with my flowers, they look amazing and the scent is beautiful. This bouquet retails at £39.99 including free mainland weekday delivery which I think is great value for money and there is the option to choose the delivery date. You can check out the full range they offer here: http://www.floric.co.uk/ and Christmas selection here: http://www.floric.co.uk/product-categories/9/christmas-flowers/ .

I also have another treat to share, Floric are running a competition for children to win a christmas tree for their family. All they need to do to enter is draw a picture of a decorated christmas tree, the more creative the better! You will then need to post the picture either to Floric’s Facebook & Like the page (https://www.facebook.com/floricuk) or their Twitter and follow (@floricuk) and use the Hashtag on both which is #GiftsOfGold. The competition closes on December 15th and more info can be found: http://www.floric.co.uk/content/61/christmas-tree-competition

I hope you enjoyed this post, I have lot's of festive themed goodies coming up that I can't wait to share with you.

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Hey Everyone!

Do not despair, I'm still doing the good old outfit of the day posts you know and love and I'm bringing you one today! You have probably noticed that I have reignited my love affair with beauty products, hopefully over the next few weeks I can strike a perfect balance between the two also with a couple of new features thrown in to add to the excitement. But yes, things are being shaken up a bit with some varied content and hopefully you will enjoy it all.

Today's particular outfit is quite surprising for me for two reasons.

Numero Uno: I am wearing JEANS! This is an official first on the blog, but yes I have finally managed to find a semi decent fitting pair of jeans after months of searching and of the skinny variety!

Unfortunately these bad boys are no longer available on ASOS which is bloody typical really, it's a recurring theme that when I find something I really like that it's discontinued shortly after. But anyway, that is where they were from and I really like them.

The second thing quite surprising is this gorgeous Kate Spade raffia clutch bag (with chain).

This was a bit of a late night impulse Ebay purchase, but as soon as it arrived I fell in love with the colour, the texture and the fact each one is handmade by women in Bosnia. It's not something I would normally have picked but I am so pleased I took a bit of a gamble and got it anyway even if it was with no thought as to how I'd style it.

Now that leaves my lovely neon floral top* I was kindly sent from New Look Inspire as part of their Electro Feel campaign.

I think the pink bag really compliments the neon pink flowers in the floral print on the top and I love how bright and cheery the overall look is.

The sleeves are literally the perfect length, no cardigan needed, they stop just short of the elbow so you have all that coverage at the top where I feel the least confident.

The top is a good length as well to wear over jeans, while it's a boxy cut it doesn't give you the dreaded short and wide shape I'm not a fan of.

What do you guys think of this outfit? Let me know in the comments below!

Build Me Up Buttercup

Hey Everyone!

Now I've been teasing you with pictures of this print jersey jumpsuit ever since I got it, but it's finally here!

I knew from the minute I saw it on the Simply Be website it had to be mine, it's jersey so really comfortable and it's floral, as you know I bloody love florals!

I've paired it with an Asos blazer which has scallop detail at the bottom and just a generic pair of New Look pumps. I don't really rate the pumps as they wear out ridiculously quick but they are quite convenient to just throw on for pictures and only cost a grand total of £7.99.

I love how Simply Be are on form lately with clothes, I have bought far more stuff there in the past couple of months than I have at ASOS which is pretty unprecedented for me! I have quite a few more outfit posts coming up featuring them so keep an eye out for those.

The jumpsuit runs true to size, there is a bit of stretch in it as well which is always good as the waistband is elasticated and the material is a soft jersey. The legs are also a nice skinny fit, I hate it when jumpsuits get the leg shapes wrong to the point they look like flares.

The sleeves also offer a bit of coverage meaning I can wear the jumpsuit on its own in summer without baking in a cardigan. A huge plus for me! It even has pockets, perfect for stashing your phone and a credit card in if your just popping out.

I am really pleased with how the photos have come out, I spotted the buttercups in our local park when I was just driving and I knew it would be perfect for this outfit!

The buttercups really compliment the yellow florals on the jumpsuit, I would like to get a nice yellow envelope clutch bag to go with it and wear with black heels for a casual evening look.

What do you guys think? Let me know below in the comments!

Round My Hometown, Memories Are Fresh

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I met up for some lunch with the lovely Apple Charlotte in my hometown of Potters Bar. We went to the local park to get some pictures and then had a nice lunch at Harvester which we ended up getting refunded due to issues with all of the card machines, result!

Here are the pics from our adventure:

 I am wearing:

Tshirt: Primark
Tights: Asos Curve
Shoes: New Look
Scarf: Vida Moda

I love the two different floral parts of the dress which give it a quirky twist, the fabric is really nice too but doesn't have any stretch in it so you might have to size up.

I love this scarf so much, the colours are beautiful and it's so lovely and soft!

When we came out from Harvester, darkness was quickly upon us so I got some more spookier looking pictures!

How cute does Charlotte look?!

I hope you like this little park themed lookbook, let me know in the comments if you want to see more of these posts as it was so much fun to do.
