Leggings Trends

At the moment printed/detailed leggings seem to be everywhere, plus size women are no longer keeping to the confines of the fail safe plain black legging but are embracing a more graphic, colourful alternative. Leggings will always be items close to my heart, combining everyday comfort and practicality while remaining versatile and fashionable with a range of patterns/materials.

I am going to outline below my personal picks available at the moment and go into detail about why they work and what I love about them.

1. Floral

As seen on one of my favourite Youtubers (Sprinkle of Glitter) these leggings look just amazing teamed with a simple black dipped tshirt and either heels for a night out or a plain pump for the daytime. The floral panel down the middle slims the leg and detracts the eye from particularly shapely calves. I have ordered these from ASOS over xmas and cost £18.00 which I think it pretty reasonable. When they arrive I will feature them in an outfit of the day post to show how I have styled them.

These Forever 21 all over floral print leggings also deserve a mention as they are perfect for spring and pastel shades are very girly and pretty. The print is of a Cath Kidston style and should be worn with light fabrics and shades for a cute daytime look.

2. Crosses

Now these beauties give a nod to the grunge/gothic glam look with a gorgeous foil print detailing that is oh so now. I would pair these with chunky shoes/boots, a long floaty top and a leather jacket pefect for day or night.

3. Bandage

ASOS CURVE Pleated Leggings Link!

These leggings look very Sass and Bide with their design and with their stretch woven fabric really brings you in and looks flattering. I would pair them with an long embellished chiffon top with simple accessories and cut out heels for a night out.
