Hairy Jayne Handmade Haircare Review

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to be bringing you a review of a couple of products I have been testing out by Hairy Jayne Handmade. The company has a whole range of hair products that are handmade by Jayne herself in her Brixton studio and all are free from artificial colours, parabens and sulfates.

The two products that I have been testing are the Pre-Shampoo Treatment Oil and the Treatment Conditioner, both perfect for my long but slightly damaged hair.

I really like the packaging of the bottles, they have a nostalgic feel about them with the retro style graphics and the tie round tags with the instructions for using each product. So brownie points there!

Firstly I am going to talk about the Pre-Shampoo Treatment Oil* (£6 for 30ml).

This product can be used in 2 completely different ways, the first is as the pre-shampoo treatment to calm down and nourish a dry, itchy or flaky scalp or alternatively you can apply a couple of drops as a styling product to tame frizz and make your hair all glossy and pretty! The bottle is small but you only use a little bit each time and can control the amount with the pipette so it will last you a good while. I really liked using it and can see myself repurchasing it.

Next up is the  Treatment Conditioner* (£6 for 100ml)

This product also has two different ways to use it, you can either use it as a regular conditioner after your shampoo or you can save loads of product and use it as a leave in conditioning treatment. I chose to use it as a treatment and have been using it twice a week to really help strengthen my hair especially towards the ends and put some moisture back into my normally quite dry hair. It's done a marvellous job so far and I'm really pleased with the results in terms of my hair being considerably less tangled, less dry and it's shedding less when I brush it.

I have to say that I really like this brand, I think the products are really good, they're really affordable alternatives to high end brands that have very similar ingredients and the results were worked great for me.
