Little Butterfly London Dewdrops at Dawn Body Lotion

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a fun beauty/skincare review for you featuring a brand called Little Butterfly London who specialise in dreamy organics for heavenly babies.

I am going to be sharing my thoughts specifically on the Dewdrops at Dawn Body Lotion* which retails at £25.50 for a huge 200ml bottle on http://littlebutterflyorganic.com/.

First of all can we take a moment to appreciate the packaging. The bottle and box looks fab with a simple white background, lovely butterfly illustrations and pretty typography for the logo. The product came beautifully packaged in a gift bag with tissue paper inside and I also had a little sample sachet of the nappy change cream.

The lotion comes out from the pump in a luxurious creamy texture that is thick but not heavy or greasy on the skin and is deeply moisturising. The scent is really nice and sweet with the infused mandarin and orange essentil oils coming through to give a hint of citrus.

The lotion includes ingredients such as the moisturising cucumber seed oil, nourishing cocoa butter and comforting oat kernel extract. Papaya, peach and apricot kernel oil protect the skin's natural moisture while meadowsweet extract gently soothes. This makes the lotion perfect for sensitive, dry or eczema prone skin and is even suitable for newborn babies. Added to this the product is organic certified by Ecocert, hypoallergenic and dermatologist approved for sensitive skin, not tested on animals and free of mineral oil, paraffin, parabens, silicones, SLS, DEA, TEA, PEGs, colorants or artificial fragrances.

I would definitely recommend the lotion to anyone thinking of purchasing one, the quality is high and the formulation is very effective and I'm sure you will love it.

The Little Butterfly London products can be bought online at http://littlebutterflyorganic.com/

I hope you found this useful and enjoyed the review.

Victoria's Secret Haul

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a little beauty haul to share with you. I feel like it's been ages since we have done this properly as my spending habits have really improved due to me now saving for a house deposit. However I am not completely recovered from my beauty addiction and splurged on three items from Ebay, so for what it's worth I did get a really good deal on them.

The items I bought are the Victoria's Secret Midnight Dare body cream, body lotion and fragrance mist. I have bought tonnes of stuff from VS before, all beauty though as I don't think they do any clothing or lingerie in my size. It's such a shame really because I like the style, maybe I should do a "what I would have spent" post on them. Leave me a comment below if you would like to see that and I will happily oblige.

But anyway, let's go on to my first impressions for each item I got.

Firstly, I wanted to compare the difference between the body cream and the body lotion. In the photo below I have swatched the cream at the top with the lotion at the bottom and you can tell that the consistencies are different. The cream is thicker with a more souffle, body butter like texture and the lotion is a lot more light. I got both because I want to use them on different areas, the cream is perfect for areas where I really need that deep moisturising effect such as dry skin on my knees or elbows. The lotion will be used as more of an all over body lotion particularly on my legs to make them all nice and smooth but with a non greasy finish. Both smell incredible, the raspberry and sandalwood scent is nice and strong and really fresh and fruity.

This leaves us to talk about the fragrance mist. I have been using the fragrance mists for years now as they are always guaranteed to smell amazing and they have a very similar effect to perfume however are cheaper and come in bigger bottles which is always a bonus. I have worn this body mist to work over the past week and got compliments on it, mostly from the girls as I would definitely say it's more of a fun girly scent than a really deep musky one which guys tend to react better to in my experience. I have no idea why that is!

Overall, I am absolutely chuffed with the three products, VS never disappoint with their skincare range and once I use these up I will probably get another scent to try out.

I hope you liked this post, if you want to see more hauls or beauty posts just let me know below in the comments.

Kenneth Turner Hand & Body Lotion Review

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're all doing well, the weekend is finally here!

It's been a little while since we've done a beauty review so today I am treating you to a review of two products from a brand called Kenneth Turner, a hand lotion* and a body lotion*.

Firstly let me comment on the packaging design, it's beautifully crisp and simple with the gorgeous floral lettering. The bottles themselves are very classic and luxurious looking which matches how they feel on the skin but more on that in a second!

Hand Lotion - Blue Tangerine

When reviewing a hand lotion, the key things I am looking for in order to be impressed are a silky smooth formula that's not greasy and deeply moisturing, a nice scent and ultimately having nice soft hands after use. I can say that this product fulfills all of those criteria.

The lotion contains floral oils including evening primrose starflower and calendula all of which aid skin softening and moisturising meaning your hands feel amazing after using it and really nourished.

The scent is incredible, it consists of blue tangerine entwined with lavender, violet and patchouli with mandarin oil, mint and camphor. It's not overpowering, it's subtle and fresh and it stays for a good couple of hours.

The handy pump dispenses the perfect amount needed, which is really not that much, meaning that the bottle will last a long time. You get a huge 300ml bottle for the £20 price tag which I think is good value for money.

The body lotion carries the same scent, ingredients, bottle size and price so the two products work perfectly together resulting in a full body blue tangerine experience!

The lotion is very nice and light in consistency but feels deeply moisturising on my skin and it worked an absolute treat on dry patches such my elbows where it really helped to rehydrate my skin leaving it soft and smooth.

I would highly recommend both products based on my experience, they are highly luxurious and an absolute pleasure to use.

Kenneth Turner also have a range of candles that I am dying to try next, if you want to see further details you can visit their website here: http://www.kennethturner.com/  to browse the full range of Kenneth Turner Products.

I hope you liked this review as much as I enjoyed trying out the products.
