The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Hey Everyone!

How are you all? It's funny how it's been a 4 day week but I found it to drag even more!!

So FINALLY the sun is back out which means it's photo taking time with Charlotte

In keeping with what seems to be becoming a tradition, I am going to share a lovely floral dress from ASOS Curve as an outfit of the day post.

Enjoy!

Tights: Asos Curve
Floral Headband: handmade by yours truly
Shoes: basic pumps from New Look

A lot of people told me to size down when I bought this dress as they come up quite big due to the smock fit but I am quite happy with this dress in my usual size. It's a nice soft jersey so has a bit of give and there is plenty of room in it!

I've had this dress a while but literally realised a week ago that the top part has the word wallflower on it amongst the floral print! I love it though, one of my favourite films is The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I would say that personality wise I can be quite shy and reserved at times (especially at events). It's weird how people assume that as a blogger you are really social and good with people, in reality it takes a lot for me to go over and start talking to people.

I love this little garden area, sometimes it's good to just take time away from life, sit down and read a book and just escape into a whole different world.

Do you guys have special places like this that you like to go to and just escape for a bit? Or is it just me?!?

Anyway, I hope you all liked the outfit and leave me a comment below if you enjoyed the post.

Thanks for reading and I'll be back tomorrow.

I'm So Crown Crown

Hey Everyone!

Hope you have had a good bank holiday.

Today I have an outfit post for you featuring one of my most often worn dresses from Asos Curve which I got last year, so it's unfortunately an Ebay only item now.

This beauty is a lovely stretch jersey, so super comfortable and has long sleeves meaning I can wear it without a cardigan in warmer weather. Perfect.

I love the print, it combines all my favourite colours being purple, pink and black and goes perfectly with simple black accessories. I have also added my floral crown for a super girly spring look.

These photos were taken on a trip to Myddleton House with Charlotte, it was such a perfect afternoon walking round the grounds and having a nice lunch in the cafe. The whole place is just so picturesque.

Anyway, what do you think of this dress? Let me know in the comments.

Dreams of the Orient

Hey Everyone!

How's your week going? Mine is going pretty well so far, been treating myself a little bit too much on new clothes but I guess that means more treats for you guys too in the form of photos!! I think it's starting to become an addiction, the thrill of winning an Ebay auction after waiting until the last minute and nabbing it at a bargain price.

I can't decide whether to do a big haul post/unboxing type thing or just to blog the items in OOTD posts, thoughts?

Anyway, I'm rambling, today I am bringing you another outfit post which a slight oriental theme and was inspired by this setting below.

The dress I am wearing is by ASOS, it is the ASOS Curve Swing Dress in Oriental Print With Lace and is unfortunately sold out now on the website. Sorry guys!!

I took these outfit shots at Myddelton House in Enfield with Charlotte again, which is becoming a new favourite location. I thought the yellows and oranges went perfectly with the print on the dress.

The dress is a good length and has a lot of movement at the bottom due to the swing style of the cut. The fabric is a nice satin with lace inserts, it's not too heavy so was perfect for a nice sunny day.

What are your thoughts on my outfit, do you like the oriental print?

A look at Plus Size Retailer MS.SVG

Hey Everyone!

Today I want to share a brand with you that I feel has slipped under the radar, MS.SVG (MS. Seriously Very Gorgeous).

I first discovered this brand at British Plus Size Fashion Weekend where I bought a fabulous leather pencil skirt by Carmakoma and tropical print trousers by Junarose, both at bargain prices. They stock a range of brands such as Zizzi, Junarose and Carmakoma and also exclusively stock collections by designers like Cabiria and Rue114, a real mix of great designs.

I'm now going to share a few items I'm loving from the website!

This jacket is such a gorgeous floral print and has lovely pleats to the back. It works on it's own as a statement jacket or can be paired with the matching trousers below for a full glam outfit.

This skirt is so fierce, the shape is great and I like the panel detailing. I would wear this with a cute pussbow  blouse.

The texture of this jacket intrigues me, it looks like dragon scales! I think this would look great with black skinny jeans, heels and a plain vest top for an evening look.

Zizzi "We Love Curves" Tshirt £15

And finally this slogan top, which I don't think requires explanation as to why I love it!

Have you heard of this brand before? Do you have any favourite retailers that aren't getting much exposure, let me know in the comments below and I can scope them out!

The Secret Garden

Hey Everyone!

Hope you're all having a wonderful week, it's been a bit chaotic weather wise hasn't it? From torrential downpours to picnics at lunch with ice cream it's kept me on my toes for opportunities to take photos, but needless to say I have an outfit post for you today.

Hair crown: car boot sale/unbranded
Dress: Asos Curve
Tights: Asos Curve
Pumps: New Look

I have called this post The Secret Garden as it reminds me of the lovely picturesque garden in the book/film, hidden away from the world. This one is pretty hidden but slightly more accessible especially through my blogger pal Charlotte! It's located in Enfield and part of Myddleton House (incase you want to check it out), it's beautiful and great for a day out.

The flowers are all in bloom and I thought the purple went well with the floral details of the dress.

This smock dress is proving to be a staple in my wardrobe for this spring, it's really lightweight material with great coverage on the arms so I can wear it without a cardigan. A winner!

What do you think of this outfit? Let me know below!

Somewhere Only We Know

Hey Guys!

It's been a little while since we spoke last, I've missed you all terribly. The past 2 weeks have been so busy for me but trust me I haven't forgot about the blog and normal service will resume!!

So in keeping with tradition, today I am bringing you photos of me, stood outside, in a floral frock and yes it's by ASOS.

Dress: Asos via Ebay
Belt: George at Asda
Bag: Claire Richards for Fashion World
Leggings: Sainsburys
Shoes: New Look

This beauty was an Ebay find and is no longer available on the ASOS website I'm afraid, from memory it was part of last years SS13 collection. It's lovely isn't it?

It's what's known as a "midi" dress and is in fact the longest length dress I own now as I'm not a fan of maxi's. The print is lovely, lot's of green leaves and pink flowers which almost look like a watercolour painting and the whole dress is a stretchy jersey but heavy enough fabric so it doesn't go see through. The sizing is bang on, I ordered my usual size and had adequate space which is always important in a world of inconsistent sizing across brands.

So to summarise, I love this outfit. I think it's perfect for a spring/summer time outing and if you see it on a blog sale or Ebay it's a good one to snap up.

Thanks for reading and leave me a comment below if you have a sec, it really does brighten up my day.

And It Was Called "Yellow"

Hey Everyone!

Well you asked, and you shall now receive! Following the popularity of my latest posts I am bringing you another outfit of the day post in possibly one of my favourite locations yet.

This gorgeous backdrop is literally a couple of minutes from my house and as soon as I saw the yellow I knew it would be perfect for my latest addition being this Asos Curve skirt which is a gorgeous multi floral print with little yellow flowers just like those in the photos.

Here I have paired the skirt with a lovely sky blue eyelash cropped jumper from George At Asda and a little ruffle bag I got from a vintage shop in Notting Hill.

I have worn black opaque tights to compliment the black bag and the black top I have on (will show you in a sec) but the skirt is long enough that you could in theory wear it with bare legs.

I also wanted to show you the outfit without a jumper as when the weather starts to improve a bit and we move into summer you wont want to be too warm and trussed up in chunky knits!

This cute ruffle top has scalloped tiers in a nice lightweight chiffon.

With a slit detail to the back

I love how these pictures have come out and had so much fun taking them! What do you think, let me know in the comments.
